I feel your pain. My dog Chan is now 14 and reaching the end of his life on Earth. He is the double of Blue to look at so it’s hit me hard. Seeing your loss reminds me what is to come. You did the right thing getting another dog before Blue said Goodbye. They help take your mind off the grief at times. Chain up lass. xxx

I'm confused why not an airbnb? I'd be terrified in the back of a box truck too. Animals are much more sensitive than us, they don't have the same reasoning as us. Some dogs especially later adopted dogs that we have no idea their history, have trauma and need comfort and stability.

DON'T DO THIS! It's DANGEROUS! Unless you remove the outside locking assembly from the back door, some joker can come along, close the back door outside lock on it, and then you can't get out. If they are a real ass, they could even put their own lock on it. Take a crowbar, and maybe also a sledge hammer in with you! Be prepared to bang on the box sides and hope it's not summer hot weather the next day, and hope that someone hears you banging, though may not if parked on farside of lot, and near a daytime busy road. Also should have a way to lock box door from inside only.

We had a blue merle sheltie medium size, looked very much like yours. Grew up with our youngest daughter, but cancer got him about 11 years old, and he should have made 15-17 years instead. Seems that "merle" gene hits such more than others with cancer. As sweet as he was, like yours, if we get another collie, like our older children had which lived to age 16, it probably won't be a blue merle again.

I cannot even imagine the gut wrenching pain you experience however I hope your videos and memories of all your adventures together will give you some comfort. Why do you NOT see any 18 wheelers at Buccees?? Well first of all, it would be a mess trying to navigate around all the trucks and pumps and it's a tourism thing. They want it to be basically a gas station/Food stop ...Nothing more.......

I don’t have the words but i can’t form the words even if i did the tears are well and truly rolling hard all I can say is thank you for sharing your pure love of blue and his companionship over the years, thank you for sharing his story with us, the good times and the bad times. it never gets easier losing loved ones but take solace that they knew they were loved to the final moments and will continue to be loved and remembered for a long time to come not just by you and your family but also by the thousands of us who you let in to follow blues journey i truly feel privileged to have been even a small part of it
